10th Annual Stop The Violence Day Memorial Basketball Game Memorial Basketball Game in honor of black Pittsburgh community members whose lives were lost from senseless gun violence. This event was sparked by friends Marcus Robinson and David Anderson who were called to action in response to the murder of their friend and teammate Deion Nesbitt in 2015.
The event raised awareness and resources for Deions family to aid in his burial and family matters considering he was the breadwinner of his home.
Tragically in the following year Anderson and Robinson continued to lose peers due to gun violence in Pittsburgh inner city. Janese Talton, Tina Crawford, Greg Mcleod, Imoni Porter, Jafar Brooks and Trayvon Martin are the names of others lives we come together to celebrate.
